About the Packaging Design Project for DANA Antistatic Spray
Some products become part of everyday life, and in Latvia, DANA antistatic spray is one of them. From pantyhose on the first day of school to a synthetic sofa that sparked too often, DANA has been a household staple for decades. When our long-time client KVADRO asked us to refresh this iconic product, the challenge was clear: update a legend without losing its cult status.

Client Needs: Packaging Refresh with Brand Legacy
The client’s needs aligned with our mindset - respect loyal consumers, honor the legacy, and still bring the product into a new century. With core packaging design elements like color and cap already fixed, the challenge was to evolve within these boundaries. The redesign needed to preserve instant shelf recognition while also appealing to a younger, style-driven audience.
Our Approach to Product and Packaging Design
Recognition was non-negotiable, so we kept the core layout and palette while building new meaning into the brand. Inspired by physics, we leaned into the spray can’s battery-like shape and added +/– symbols to the main lettering, turning the identity into a bold energy icon. We also upgraded the pictograms, making them sharper, cleaner, and easier to read, so consumers instantly understand the product’s purpose.
The Result: A Smarter, Recognizable Everyday Classic
The final packaging design balances respect for the past with a modern refresh. Subtle adjustments in color create harmony without losing recognition, while the “charged” +/– cues and electricity-inspired background pattern signal energy and purpose. Redesigned pictograms improve legibility at shelf, ensuring clarity for new buyers. The result is unmistakably DANA - only smarter, fresher, and ready for the next generation’s everyday adventures.
